The NCOALink® Product (which replaced the NCOA National Change of Address system in 2004) is a secure dataset of approximately 160 million permanent change-of-address (COA) records consisting of the names and addresses of individuals, families and businesses who have filed a change-of-address with the USPS®.

Developed with secure data store technology to increase security of postal customer data and protect the privacy of this information, the NCOALink Product enables mailers to process mailing lists and update lists with new addresses prior to mailing. The NCOALink Product can be integrated into mailers’ in-house computer systems to provide services or use internally.

The use of the NCOALink Product is only available through licenses from the USPS. There are three types of NCOA license types available from the USPS:

Full Service Licensees receive 48 months of change of address data.

Limited Service Licensees receive 18 months of change of address data.

End User Licensees receive 18 months of change of address data, but are only allowed to process lists that are owned by the licensee.

For all your direct mail campaigns make sure you make use of available data hygiene processes, tools, expertise and service that ensure your direct mail budget is maximized.

Data hygiene services include the following:

Over 40 million Americans move every year. Keep up with their new addresses, and stay in compliance for all First-Class and Standard-Class mailings with our comprehensive change of address, ZIP + 4, delivery point and 911 conversion services. Here’s what is included:

NCOALink® – Get 48 months of consecutive change-of-address data from a Full Service Licensee of the USPS NCOALink product.

CASS – Using certified CASS software, Peachtree Data delivers critical address standardization, ZIP + 4, delivery point barcode, carrier route and line of travel information. Estimated 4% of file identified as undeliverable through CASS.

DPV – Incorporating delivery point validation into the matching processcan determine if any addresses on your list are not serviced by the USPS. The average undeliverable rate identified by the DPV is 5%.

LACSLink —The Locatable Address Conversion System, LACSlink, provides automated matching and updating for old addresses that have been converted following implementation of the 911 system. Mostly, these include conversions from rural-style addresses to city-style addresses.

Example:
Before LACSLink Conversion: Rural Route 16, Sweetwater, GA 30093
After LACSLink Conversion: 53 Heather Lane, Sweetwater, GA 30093

The average undeliverable rate identified by this service is 0.90%.

SuiteLink – Adds or appends secondary address information for your
business records with missing or invalid secondary addresses, i.e. suite numbers.

Data hygiene services delivers many benefits:
•	Achieve faster product and service marketing through accurate mail delivery
•	Reduce undeliverable-as-addressed (UAA) mail by providing the most current address information (updated daily) for matches made to the NCOALink®
•	Identify addresses that aren’t serviced by USPS – reduce DM costs.
•	Be assured that you’re optimizing your DM list.
•	Benefit from the most comprehensive and up to date address data.
